 दाग़ और गलती हमारी ज़िंदगी भी उन कपड़ों की तरह है जिनमें यदि एक छोटा-सा दाग़ लग जाए तो पूरा कपड़ा बेकार सा लगने लगता है। ठीक इसी तरह जीवन में की गई छोटी-सी गलती भी कभी-कभी हमारे पूरे जीवन पर भारी पड़ जाती है। एक दिन कक्षा में मैडम बच्चों को समझा रही थीं— "बच्चों! हमें जीवन के हर कदम पर सोच-समझकर चलना चाहिए। बचपन में शरारतें करना स्वाभाविक है, लेकिन कभी-कभी अनजाने में की गई शरारतें हमें उम्रभर का पछतावा दे सकती हैं।" लेकिन बच्चे तो बच्चे थे। उनकी नटखट बातें और खेलकूद में डूबा मन इन बातों को हल्के में ले रहा था। कुछ ही दिनों बाद स्कूल में एक विशेष कार्यक्रम रखा गया। सभी बच्चे उत्साह से भरे हुए थे और सुंदर-सुंदर नए कपड़े पहनकर आए थे। कार्यक्रम शुरू हुआ, सब बहुत आनंद ले रहे थे। तभी कुछ बच्चों के कपड़ों पर दाग़ लग गए। उनकी पोशाक बिगड़ गई और वह बहुत भद्दी लगने लगी। अब उनके पास न तो बदलने के लिए दूसरा कपड़ा था और न ही नया लाने का समय। मजबूर होकर वे बच्चे बीच कार्यक्रम से ही घर लौट गए। उनके दोस्तों ने मज़े किए, लेकिन वे उदासी और अफसोस में रह गए। अगले दिन जब सभी बच्चे स्कूल पहुँचे तो...

 अभिभावक की भूमिका और पी.टी.एम. का महत्व स्कूल नियमित रूप से चल रहे थे। इसी दौरान बच्चों की सीखने की क्षमता का आकलन करने के लिए परीक्षा का आयोजन किया गया। परीक्षा का उद्देश्य केवल अंक देना नहीं था, बल्कि बच्चों की कमियों को पहचानना और उनके अभिभावकों तक उन कमियों को पहुँचाना भी था। कुछ दिनों बाद जब पी.टी.एम. (Parent Teacher Meeting) का दिन आया तो सभी बच्चों के मन में हल्का-सा डर था कि आज उनके शिक्षक उनके अभिभावकों से शिकायत करेंगे। धीरे-धीरे अभिभावक अपने बच्चों के परिणाम देखने आए। कई अभिभावक अच्छे परिणाम देखकर प्रसन्न हुए और शिक्षकों का धन्यवाद भी दिया। लेकिन कुछ अभिभावक ऐसे भी थे, जिन्हें अपने बच्चों के कम अंक देखकर आश्चर्य हुआ। वे कहते— "हम तो बच्चे को रोज ट्यूशन भेजते हैं, घर का कोई काम नहीं करवाते, हर सुविधा उपलब्ध कराते हैं, फिर भी अंक इतने कम क्यों आए?" शिक्षक उनकी बातें सुनकर हैरान थे, क्योंकि यही वे अभिभावक थे जिन्होंने कभी अपने बच्चे का स्कूल बैग तक नहीं देखा था। बच्चों की पढ़ाई और दिनचर्या में उनकी कोई भागीदारी नहीं थी। ये वे अभिभावक थे जो सिर्फ परिणाम आने पर जागते ह...

 कहानी – जिम्मेदारी का महत्व एक छोटा बच्चा था। वह बहुत होशियार और समझदार था। किसी को उससे कोई शिकायत नहीं थी। लंबे समय बाद उसके दादाजी गाँव से उनके घर आए। दादाजी को देखकर बच्चा बहुत खुश हुआ, क्योंकि अब उसके पास खेलने और बातें करने वाला साथी मिल गया था। अब उसके दिन बोरिंग नहीं, बल्कि खुशी और उत्साह से बीतने लगे। लेकिन दादाजी ने कुछ ही दिनों में घर का माहौल ध्यान से देखा। उन्हें महसूस हुआ कि बच्चे की बातें उसके माता-पिता अक्सर नज़रअंदाज़ कर देते हैं। मम्मी-पापा एक-दूसरे पर जिम्मेदारी डालकर अपने कर्तव्य से बचते रहते थे। यह देखकर दादाजी चुप रहे, पर मन में उन्होंने परिवार को एक सीख देने का निश्चय किया। एक दिन खाने की मेज़ पर सब बैठे थे। दादाजी ने पोते से कहा— “बेटा, कल कुछ गमले और पौधे ले आना। घर पर मेरा समय अच्छे से कट जाएगा और हमें भी एक अच्छा काम करने को मिलेगा।” अगले दिन पौधे आ गए। दादाजी ने प्रतियोगिता का सुझाव दिया। एक गमले की जिम्मेदारी दादाजी और पोते ने मिलकर ली, जबकि दूसरे गमले की जिम्मेदारी मम्मी-पापा को दी गई। दादाजी और पोता रोज़ पौधे को पानी देते, उसकी देखभाल करते। धीरे-धीरे...

लालच का अंजाम

लालच का अंजाम एक छोटे से गाँव में दो पुलिस वाले रहते थे। उनका स्वभाव लोगों की सेवा करने वाला नहीं, बल्कि अपने स्वार्थ को पूरा करने वाला था। दोनों इतने लालची थे कि उन्हें हर जगह सिर्फ पैसे ही दिखाई देते थे। तनख्वाह उनके लिए पर्याप्त नहीं थी। महीने भर की कमाई से उनका कभी पेट नहीं भरता था। धीरे-धीरे उनके घर के संदूक, अलमारी और कोने-कोने में पैसा भर गया, लेकिन उनकी नियत फिर भी खाली ही रही। एक दिन दोनों बैठकर नए तरीके सोचने लगे। पहला पुलिस वाला बोला – “कमाई पहले जैसी नहीं रही। ऐसा क्या करें कि जेब भी भरी रहे और किसी को शक भी न हो?” दूसरा पुलिस वाला मुस्कुराया और बोला – “क्यों न हम अपने जेल के कैदी को रात में चोरी करने भेज दें? वो चोरी करेगा, माल हमें देगा और सुबह वापस जेल में आकर बैठ जाएगा। किसी को शक भी नहीं होगा और हमारी जेब भी भरी रहेगी।” यह योजना दोनों को बहुत भा गई। उस रात से सिलसिला शुरू हो गया। चोर चोरी करता, ढेर सारा सामान और पैसे लेकर आता और पुलिस वाले बँटवारा कर लेते। सब कुछ योजना के अनुसार चल रहा था। लेकिन गाँव की जनता परेशान हो गई। रोज़ नई-नई चोरियाँ होतीं, पर चोर कभी पकड़ा न जा...
