Class 10 English Assessment: Unseen Passage

Question 1 of 12
Reading Passage Topic: Digital Well-being

The rapid growth of smartphones has transformed the way people communicate, learn, and entertain themselves. Today, students can attend online classes, access educational videos, and complete assignments using digital devices. While technology has made learning easier, it has also created new challenges.

Many teenagers spend several hours every day scrolling through social media. Excessive screen time may reduce physical activity, disturb sleep patterns, and affect concentration. Researchers have found that students who balance online and offline activities often perform better academically and experience lower levels of stress.

Experts suggest following the "20-20-20 Rule" to reduce eye strain. After every 20 minutes of screen use, a person should look at something 20 feet away for at least 20 seconds. In addition, setting time limits for social media and spending more time outdoors can improve both physical and mental health.

Digital technology itself is neither good nor bad. Its impact depends on how wisely people use it. Responsible use of technology allows students to gain knowledge while maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
